Senior (2014-15): Played at No. 6 singles … won his first two matches of the season against Bryant and Binghamton … appeared at the No. 3 doubles position with Diego Pedraza, going 6-8 overall.
Junior (2013-14): Ended the season with a record of 3-2 in singles action and 2-0 in doubles play … played in the No. 4 and 6 spots for singles and the No. 3 position for doubles throughout his junior campaign … paired up with Erik Nordahl to win against Bryant before teaming with Max Schmidt to down Boston University.
Sophomore (2012-13): In his second season with the team, Todd won five doubles matches and seven singles... Picked up an Ivy League victory versus Brown in doubles play at No. 3... won doubles matches against Marquette and Binghamtom... Won non-conference singles matches versus Indiana, Boston College and Iowa.
Freshman (2011-12): In his first year on campus, Todd competed in 17 singles matches and 6 doubles matches... picked up two wins in doubles including his first career match against Marist... won 11 matches in singles play... ended season on a five match winning streak.
Before Dartmouth: Sam Todd competed at Cathedral Catholic during his prep career ... earned four letters in tennis ... his team won the Western League Championship in 2008-09 and 2009-10 ... Todd went 29-1 in 2008-09 and 28-0 in 2009-10 ... in his senior season, he was first team All-CIF, first team All-Western League and first team All-Academic ... was named first team All-CIF and first team All-Academic his junior season ... earned the Western League Player of the Year his junior season.
Personal: Samuel Scott Todd is the son of John and Margaret Todd ... has two brothers ... his father played tennis and basketball at Longwood college from 1979-83. Sam's older brother, John, is captain of the Wake Forest club tennis team.
