Junior (2011-12): In his junior season, Jacobs earned the team's most improved player award...named a captain for the 2012-13 season...finished 8-4 in doubles matches... Jacobs provided a jumpstart to the team when inserted in the starting lineup at Boston College... started all seven Ivy League matches.
Sophomore (2010-11): Played in 11 singles matches and nine doubles matches in his second season ... went 7-4 in singles and 6-3 in doubles with partners Brandon DeBot and Kevin Cox ... in singles, he had a three-match winning streak, and won four of his last six matches ... in doubles, he had a three-match winning streak and won four of his last five matches.
Freshman (2009-10): Appeared in singles matches during the fall with a 6-1 mark, including five straight wins ... made it six straight with his lone dual match win against Sacred Heart on Jan. 23 with a three set win that included a 12-10 tie break victory ... teamed up with Alexander Centenari and Andrew Malizia in the fall and posted a 3-3 mark in doubles.
Before Dartmouth: A two-year letterwinner at Oak Park-River Forest High School in Oak Park, Ill., Mike played at number 1 doubles as a freshman and sophomore in the Sectional Championships before moving into the number one singles spot as a junior and senior. Mike captained the tennis team in both his junior and senior seasons, earning first team all-conference all four years of his high school career. He earned first team all-state honors twice to go with second team all-state honors in his final two seasons.
