HANOVER, N.H. – Sophomore Kelsey Miller and freshman Karen Chaw were recognized by the Ivy League for their contributions last weekend at the James Madison Invitational. Miller was named the Player of the Week and Chaw was named Co-Rookie of the Week.

Miller led the team with a .533 batting average and a team-high eight hits. She also belted a solo home run against Fairfield. Miller finished the weekend with three multi-hit games and two stolen bases. Her weekend high was three hits against the Stags.  Miller leads the Ivy League with 14 hits and six runs scored thus far this season.

Chaw is now 2-for-2 in weekly honors this season. At the JMU Invite, she hit .313 with two homers and a team-best seven RBI.  She was third on the team with five hits.  Chaw hit both of her long balls in the opening day of the invite, when she sent a three-run shot to snap a 2-0 deficit. Her second home run of the day was in the first-inning against Fairfield. She now leads the Ancient Eight in home runs with three, total bases with 20, and RBIs with 10.

Dartmouth will not play again until Mar. 14 when they head out west to compete in the UC Santa Barbara Tournament and LMU Tournament. The Big Green will also take on San Diego, Monmouth and UC Riverside in non-tournament games.
