PRINCETON, N.J. - Dartmouth sophomore pitcher Kristen Rumley (Katy, Texas) picked up her first Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honor of the season after earning a win and a save in Dartmouth's stint at the Colonial Classic Invitational in Washington, D.C. She shares the honor with Princeton's Shanna Christian and picks up her second career Ivy League honor.

Rumley has had an excellent start to the season and is sporting a 4-1 record after recording a complete game win over host George Washington. In the 3-2 win, she tossed a season-high eight strikeouts.  Playing in relief against Seton Hall, she allowed just one run in five innings of work. The sophomore closed the weekend with a one-inning save against George Washington, her second career save.

The Texas native has followed up her impressive rookie campaign with an equally impressive start to her sophomore season. Rumley entered the season ranked No. 9 on the Big Green's career strikeouts list with 151 and with her 31 strikeouts has moved into No. 5 with 182 Ks. In her 35 innings of work this season she has a 2.00 ERA with just seven walks.

The Big Green will take some time off for exams before heading back to the Sunshine State. Dartmouth will play in the USF Invitational in Clearwater, Fla., from March 15-17 and will also participate in the FAU Invitational March 22-24 in Boca Raton, Fla.
