HANOVER, N.H. - Ali Hart, a first-team NCAA All-American at Williams College, has been hired at Dartmouth College as an assistant softball coach as announced by Director of Athletics Harry Sheehy and head coach Rachel Hanson.

"I'm very excited to add Ali to our staff, as her energy and enthusiasm will really be a factor for our program," said Hanson.  "She'll be working primarily with outfielders, as well as assisting with hitters and infielders.  As a former All-American at an elite academic institution, Ali understands what it takes to strive for excellence on a daily basis.  Those past experiences will really be an asset for our players and our program as a whole."

A four-year letterwinner for the Ephs, Hart was a NESCAC and ECAC Player of the Year while earning first-team NFCAA All-New England Honors as well as first-team All-NESCAC and All-NEISCA accolades.  The Williams MVP also set six offensive records throughout her career and earned the Eph Spirit Award.

A 2008 graduate of the Westminster School in Atlanta, Ga., Hart was a four-year letterwinner and a two-time team captain. An all-state selection her sophomore season, Hart was also an active participant in ASA softball for several organizations.

Dartmouth opens the 2013 season in Deland, Fla., when they travel to Stetson for a tournament Feb. 22-24.
