Freshman Edward Wagner kicked off the day with an early-morning race in the 400-meter hurdles. He ran an impressive 53.20 in the day’s first overall event, taking 16th overall in a field of more than 50 competitors.
Like Wagner, Reilly ran twice on Friday. The senior sprinter not only was a part of the relay team, but also took to the track in the 100m, finishing 12th in 10.66.
Also taking eighth overall was Jeremy Thibodeau in the long jump. The junior posted a measured distance of 22-7.0/6.88m Friday.
The Dartmouth men will compete in four events in Philadelphia on Saturday to wrap up the Penn Relays. The majority of the team will be in Amherst, Mass., as part of the UMass Invitational in the final tune-up before next weekend’s Ivy League Heptagonal Championship Meet at Princeton.
