BOSTON - The previous Dartmouth men's indoor record in the 60 meters fell twice on Sunday at the ECAC & IC4A Championship hosted by Boston University.
Senior Connor Reilly broke his own school record of 6.77 in the event set last weekend at Heps in Cambridge. In both the preliminaries and final heats, Reilly ran a 6.75 to set the new program mark.
In the finals, both Reilly and Jedidia Adarquash-Yiadon of Cornell ran the same time, but Reilly was awarded the win and the 10 points with an official mark of 6.743 to his opponent's 6.749.
Oddly enough, the record of 6.83 that he broke last weekend was set exactly one year ago on March 3, 2012 at The Armory as part of Columbia's Last Chance Meet.
Also winning an event Sunday in Boston was Will Geoghegan. The junior took the top spot in the finals of the mile, crossing the line in 4:05.71 to help his team earn another 10 points.
Geoghegan's time was a new personal record in the event.
Despite only two individuals scoring, those 20 points helped the Big Green finish 15th in the team standings with 44 programs comprising the field.
