HANOVER, N.H. - Once again, Leverone Field House will be filled this weekend with spectators and student-athletes alike as the Dartmouth men's and women's indoor track & field teams host the Dartmouth Classic on Saturday.
Just three weeks after hosting the 44th annual Dartmouth Relays, the Big Green's home facility will open its doors to teams from Middlebury, RPI, Hartford, Vermont, Navy, Assumption, Quinnipiac, Keene State and more for Saturday's meet.
Field events kick off at 11 a.m. with the men's and women's long jump to start the day. Track events are set to begin at noon with the preliminary heats of the women's 60m hurdles.
The women's 4x400m relay is the last event of the day and is scheduled to start at 4:45 p.m.
Both teams are off to strong starts this season as the women claimed first at both the Dartmouth Relays (185 Points) and at the Yale tri-meet with Columbia (76 points). The men also won both their meets in January, taking first at the Relays (128 Points) as well as in New Haven (77 Points).
Each team competed last weekend in Boston as part of the non-scoring BU Terrier Invitational in addition to the aforementioned first-place efforts in Hanover and New Haven.
