BOSTON - The Dartmouth men's indoor track & field team kicked off the 2012-13 season Saturday at the Jay Carisella Invite hosted by Northeastern at BU's Track & Tennis Center.

Senior Connor Reilly was a highlight for the Big Green as he set a new meet record in the 60 meters, winning the event with a 6.91 in the finals. Sophomore Brett Buskey took third in 7.01, while freshman John Abraham was fourth in 7.03.

Dom Filiano dominated the field in the shot put, taking first with a toss of 49-4.50/15.05m. The second-place finisher was more than a foot back of the Dartmouth junior.

The 1000 meters saw the Big Green claim third and fourth, respectively, as freshman Kevin Stanko (2:34.16) and sophomore Joe Carey (2:34.18) crossed one after another.

In the high jump, sophomores Jeremy Birck and Sam Yoder each posted heights of 6-6.0/1.98m, tying for third in the event. Birck was given the slight advantage as he achieved the height in fewer attempts.

The Big Green men will continue their December schedule with another meet next Saturday (Dec. 8) at Harvard.
