2011-2012 (Freshman): Birck had a strong freshman year for the Big Green, with a season best of 2.04m/6-8.25 in the high jump at the Dartmouth Relays, earning him first place. Birck notched season-best performances at the Vermont/Maine/RPI home meet, running 7.76 for 60m, and marking 5.94m/19-5.75 in the long jump.
Before Dartmouth: Jeremy Birck attended Libertyville High School where he participated in track and field, football, and basketball. He was the track and field team captain his junior and senior years of high school. Among his many awards, Birck was awarded first place All County (three times), first place All Conferece (twice), and sixth place All State. Additionally, Birck was honored with First Team football All Conference and All Area, and was given an All State honorable mention his senior year. He made All Conference All Academic for football, basketball, and track and field. In addition to athletics, Birck was named the 2011 Illinois SuperState Champion for French Horn.
Personal: Jeremy Birck is the son of Bob and Yuki and has two brothers. He lived in Tokyo for ten years.
