Two games remain for the Dartmouth women’s soccer team and Saturday’s meeting features the top-ranked Harvard Crimson against the Big Green. Harvard, yet to drop an Ivy League match, will face a Dartmouth squad that is looking to extend its two-game winning streak.
All-Time Series (Harvard)
Harvard holds a narrow lead on the Big Green entering the 36th annual meeting between Ancient Eight foes. A 17-15-3 all-time lead by the Crimson has seen the Big Green close the gap over the last three seasons, claiming two of the last three affairs.
After losing the first three games of the season, Harvard has not looked back. The Crimson is riding an 11-game unbeaten streak with five victories coming in league play. Harvard’s largest offensive output came against Cornell on October 12, when they scored seven goals on the Big Red. Margaret Purce leads the team with 23 points and 10 goals.
Senior Marina Moschitto scored a pair of goals to propel the Dartmouth women’s soccer team over Columbia, 4-2, on Saturday. The Big Green also got offensive contributions from freshman Holly Patterson and sophomore Corey Delaney. Trailing 1-0 early in the first, the Green scored four unanswered goals en route to the win. Freshman Casey Cousineau won her second consecutive game, playing just 45 minutes before junior Tatiana Saunders and senior Sam Fearer finished the second half.
Ivy League Digital Network
Dartmouth Athletics, in partnership with NeuLion, announced the launch of the brand new Ivy League Digital Network, featuring enhanced live video streaming of all home games and extensive coverage of Big Green road contests against Ivy League foes.
Starting with the 2013-14 season, the completely redesigned Dartmouth channel — known as Big Green Insider — will include an easy-to-navigate interface with a league-wide network schedule and new interactive features that showcase the expanded content offerings available on computer, mobile and tablet devices, all without the use of an app.
The Big Green will conclude the 2013 season next Saturday, when they host Cornell at noon. Prior to the game, Dartmouth will honor the seven graduating members of the Class of 2014.
