Dartmouth Larry Garrity Rookie of the Year

Outstanding addition to the Dartmouth backline as a freshman ... Made 16 appearances with 15 starts ... Made her first collegiate start at Texas (9/4)  ... Before Dartmouth
Played four years of varsity soccer for Carondelet, serving as a team captain in both her junior and senior seasons ... Led Carondelet to three league championships and advanced to the North Coast Section 3A quarterfinals twice, semifinals in 2009 and won the championship her senior year in 2010 ... Led Carondelet to an impressive 19-2-3 record her senior year, making the East Bay Athletic League first team for the second consecutive season ... Named to the Contra Costa Times All-East Bay Team three times and was named the Carondelet Defensive Player of the Year twice ... Captained the Mustang Earthquakes from 2005-11, advancing to the Cal North State Cup semifinals in 2009 and 2010 ... Team won several tournaments including the Surf Cup Gold in 2008, Mustang Stampede in 2009, Golden State Soccer League Championship (2007, '10) and Cal North State Cup Champions (2004, '05, '06).

Kate (Catherine) is the daughter of Louie and Marion Castillo ... Has three sisters and one brother.
