Each week during the summer months, DartmouthSports.com will be running a segment on the women's basketball page called Tuesday Women's Basketball Trivia. We'll ask each player one question a week and you can learn the inside scoop on the women's basketball team. Happy Reading!
Why did you choose Dartmouth?
Tia Dawson (Sophomore): I chose Dartmouth because it's number one in teaching, the coaches were nice, and I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I couldn't pass up.
Faziah Steen (Senior): Great academics and a winning basketball tradition. I loved the players and coaches when I came on my official visit.
Abbey Schmitt (Sophomore): I really liked the smaller size of Dartmouth and the close-knit community atmosphere that comes with that. I also liked the personalities of the students I met on my visits---hard working, but also still able to have fun and not be overly competitive. Also, since I was little, I always dreamed of attending and playing basketball at an Ivy League institution.
Kamala Thompson (Sophomore): It was the best of both world's -- academics and basketball. Also the community is really strong here.
Milica Toskovic (Sophomore): I chose Dartmouth because of the winning tradition they have here. With 17 Ivy League championships it's hard to find another place that holds academics and winning to such a high standard
Nicola Zimmer (Junior): Dartmouth is a great environment for both academics and athletics, and the community feel is very welcoming.
Eve Zelinger (Junior): I was excited about Dartmouth because of the warm community, the exciting combination of challenging academics and athletics, and the natural beauty of the campus. I especially love the change of seasons.
