Steen Earns Second Team All-Ivy Honors
Steen, Dartmouth's captain and the lone player to start every game this season, emerged as the Big Green's leading scorer this season averaging, 15.4 points per game, which ranked her third best among her Ivy League counterparts.
The 5-8 guard set numerous milestones this season, most recently becoming the Big Green's 16th 1,000-point scorer. She currently ranks No. 16 on Dartmouth's all-time scoring list with 1,025 points. She also hit a career-high 32 points and 11 rebounds for her first career double-double in a win over Vermont on Nov. 22. She was also named to the Blue Sky Classic All-Tournament team for her play against LaSalle and No. 17 Georgetown at the annual holiday tournament.
In Ivy League action, Steen led the league in steals with 2.5 steals per game and
three-pointers per game with 2.1 per game. She also ranked sixth in three-point field goal percentage at .351 (60-of-171) and seventh in minutes played with 33.0 minutes per game
For her career Steen has amassed 1,025 career points, 149 assists and 185 steals.
Princeton's Niveen Rasheed was named Player of the Year and teammate Lauren Polansky took home Defensive Player of the Year honors. Yale's Sarah Halejian earned Rookie of the Year honors.
