PRINCETON, N.J.- Dartmouth women's basketball player Tia Dawson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) earned her second career Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor for her performances against Columbia and Cornell last weekend. Dawson's award is the third for a Dartmouth player this season as Dawson and teammate Milica Toskovic (Santa Monica, Calif.) have each earned the honor.

Dawson earned the award for her efforts against Columbia (Feb. 3) and Cornell (Feb. 4). She posted her third career double-double with a career-high 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Big Green to its first Ivy League win at Columbia on Friday night.  She followed that performance with a seven-point, five rebound outing in a close 49-45 loss at Cornell on Saturday.

On the season, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa native, has started each of Dartmouth's 19 games, joining teammate Faziah Steen (Detroit, Mich.) as the only two players to start each game. She's Dartmouth's top rebounder and is averaging 7.0 rebounds per game and is the Big Green's second leading scorer with 7.2 points per contest. She also leads the Big Green and the Ivy League in rejections with 1.8 blocks per game.

Dartmouth returns to Leede Arena for its next two contests and hosts Princeton (Feb. 10) and Penn (Feb. 11). The Big Green's game against Princeton on Friday is the annual "Play4Kay" game (formerly WBCA Pink Zone) and all fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink. Friday and Saturday's games tipoff at 7 p.m.
