HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman Fanni Szabo was named Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week after averaging 14.5 points over the weekend.

Szabo takes home her third Rookie of the Week award of the season to become the second Big Green to earn three such honors in as many years, joining junior Abbey Schmitt.

After scoring at least 20 points in five of her first eight games Szabo only had one 20-point game in her previous 10 contests, before breaking out with 21 against Yale. Szabo shot 43.8 percent from the field (7-of-16), including a season-best 80.0 percent from downtown (4-of-5). For the week, she averaged 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 assist. Against Brown, Szabo scored the game’s first basket and added six more points in the half, but was relegated to the bench for a majority of the second half due to early foul trouble.

Szabo sits fourth in Ivy scoring this season at 15.4 per contest and leads the Big Green in most offensive categories.  Her career-high is 34 points set against Massachusetts on Dec. 30 at the Blue Sky Classic.

Dartmouth returns home to Leede Arena this weekend, as they will host Cornell on Friday and Columbia on Saturday. Both games will tip at 7 p.m.
