Each week during the summer months, DartmouthSports.com will be running a segment on the women's basketball page called Tuesday Women's Basketball Trivia. We'll ask each player one question a week and you can learn the inside scoop on the women's basketball team. Happy Reading!
Who is your favorite NBA or WNBA player and why?
Tia Dawson (Sophomore): I would say anyone on the Celtics, but I'll choose Rajon Rondo because he is a pretty humble player, a good leader, knows how to get through defenders, and his overall stats are amazing, especially in the assist category.
Faziah Steen (Senior): Kobe Bryant. I admire his competitive, confident attitude and he's mentally tough.
Abbey Schmitt (Sophomore): My favorite NBA player is Derek Rose because he makes his team better when he plays with them and does whatever it takes to win. Also, being from Chicago, I'm naturally a Bull's fan. We also sadly now both have ACL injuries in common.
Kamala Thompson (Sophomore): Tim Duncan. I've just really liked him since I was young.
Milica Toskovic (Sophomore): I have a few favorite NBA players: Dirk Nowitzki, Manu Ginobili, and just cause I'm from LA, Kobe Bryant. My favorite WNBA player is probably Diana Taurasi.
Nicola Zimmer (Junior): Chris Paul. I love the way he plays. He can score and still gets his team involved.
Eve Zelinger (Junior): One of my favorite players is Diana Taurasi from the Phoenix Mercury. I love her tenacity and court sense. She is a really smart player. I followed her throughout her college career at UConn and it's fun to watch her play now in the WNBA.
