Each week during the summer months, DartmouthSports.com will be running a segment on the women's basketball page called Tuesday Women's Basketball Trivia. We'll ask each player one question a week and you can learn the inside scoop on the women's basketball team. Happy Reading!
Do you have any pregame superstitions?
Tia Dawson (Sophomore): There are things I do before games that I've done from the start of my high school career that I have to do and if I don't do even one of those things, I start to get anxious and nervous about how I'm going to play.
Faziah Steen (Senior): None. I just like to listen to a pregame playlist on my iPod.
Abbey Schmitt (Sophomore): No, I don't really have any pregame superstitions. But before every game, usually during the National Anthem, I try to visualize myself playing well, rebounding, and scoring to mentally prepare for the game.
Kamala Thompson (Sophomore): Just listening to music and getting into the zone.
Milica Toskovic (Sophomore): Not really, I just try to stay confident and get my head in the game as much as I can without taking it too seriously.
Nicola Zimmer (Junior): Not really. I have my routine, but it's not based on superstition.
Eve Zelinger (Junior): I like to visualize myself on the court and eat a few Jelly Belly sports beans for some quick energy. The blue ones are the best!
