Q and A with Sam:

Why Dartmouth?

Dartmouth provided the perfect opportunity for me to pursue my skiing goals while receiving a top-notch education. The flexibility of the D-plan allows me to balance skiing and school, without compromising either.

How long have you been skiing and what got you interested in skiing?

I have been skiing since I was two-years old, and racing since I was five. My dad inspired my interest in skiing.

Have you won any academic or skiing awards recently?

2010 Eastern Collegiate Rookie of the Year, 2010 Junior World Championship Team

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

Winter is my least favorite season.

What are your future plans, if any?

I want to ski competitively as long as I can and stay involved with the ski community after I stop racing.
