Since then, he has coached at Harvard, Wisconsin, MIT, and Cal-Berkeley, where he was an assistant coach on the staff that produced the 2006 IRA National Champion Cal varsity eight. Hilton also spent a year training with the United States National Team at USRowing's Princeton Training Center in 2002 and coached at Deerfield Academy from 2003-2005.

"Andy's return to the boathouse highlights an exciting time for the team," said Bordeau. "The fact that our program was able to attract someone with a decade of experience says a lot about what the guys have done over the past few years, and Andy's experience on programs that both recruit and develop elite-level talent will undoubtedly help us as we look to move higher up in the ultra-competitive upper echelon of intercollegiate rowing."
