This will be the first men’s basketball game to be televised at Leede Arena in nearly five years to the day. The Big Green defeated Penn on Jan. 31, 2009 by a final of 63-60 in a game broadcast on Comcast New England.
Dartmouth will also appear on at least two other broadcasts this season. The first will be aired on the Big Ten Digital Network when the Green travel to Illinois to take on the Fighting Illini on Dec. 10. Then on Jan. 18, Dartmouth will play at Carnesecca Arena against St. John’s in a game televised by Fox Sports 1.
All eight teams in the Ivy League will be featured throughout the season. The conference’s package with NBCSN is highlighted by seven intra-conference matchups to go along with three games pitting Ivy teams against foes from the Atlantic-10 Conference.
The 2013-14 season begins for Dartmouth this Sunday at 2 p.m. against Lyndon State with the first of three straight home games. Next Wednesday, Bryant comes to Leede Arena for a 7 p.m. tip, and UMass Lowell — in its first season as a Division I program — arrives in Hanover on Saturday, Nov. 16 for a game at 4 p.m.
All three games, as well as every home game (except the Harvard game) and all Ivy road games, can be viewed online in HD through Big Green Insider on the Ivy League Digital Network with Dave Collins returning to call the action for his eighth season.
