HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach Erin Lindsey has announced the 2013 Dartmouth women’s volleyball schedule as the Big Green take to the court 26 times.  Fifteen of those contests will take place at home inside Leede Arena.

The Green and the White start the season on the road, taking part in the Volley in the Valley Tournament hosted by Marist. The Big Green open the year versus the Redhawks (Sept. 6) and wrap up the weekend squaring off with UMass Lowell (Sept. 7) and Hartford (Sept. 7).

Before Dartmouth opens its home slate, the team will be hosting a free clinic & autograph signing in Leede Arena on Sept 8 at 4:00 p.m.

The first home weekend of the campaign will see four squads come to the Upper Valley for the Big Green Invitational. On Sept. 13, Lindsey’s team will host Central Connecticut State and Manhattan before concluding the weekend with tilts versus Providence and Grand Canyon on Sept. 14.

The following weekend, the Big Green hosts another four-team tournament as Rhode Island (Sept. 20), UConn (Sept. 20), New Hampshire (Sept. 21) and Minnesota (Sept. 21) head to Hanover for the Dartmouth Duel.

After back-to-back homestands, the team hits the road for four straight games away from the Granite State. Dartmouth opens Ivy League play at Harvard (Sept. 27) before wrapping up its non-conference schedule at Bryant (Oct. 1). The first league road weekend comes in the first week of October as the Big Green take on Brown (Oct. 4) and Yale (Oct. 5).

The first Ivy League home match of the season comes against Columbia (Oct. 11). The game with the Lions is the team’s Pizza Night and is one of four featured home matches in 2013.  The themes for the other events are Dig Pink Disco against Harvard (Oct. 25), Trick or Treat versus Brown (Nov. 2) and Senior Night against Princeton on (Nov.9).

The remainder of the home schedule will see Cornell (Oct. 12), Yale (Nov. 1) and Penn (Nov. 8) make their way to Leede Arena.

Dartmouth’s final conference road games come against Princeton (Oct. 18), Penn (Oct. 19), Cornell (Nov. 15) and Columbia (Nov. 16).
