HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth volleyball head coach Erin Lindsey has announced her team’s schedule for the upcoming 2014 season.

The Big Green will kick off the year with three straight weekends of tournament play against non-conference opponents before beginning single-match outings in mid-September.

Dartmouth will travel to Loyola (Maryland) to open the 2014 campaign for a trio of contests on Sept. 5-6 as part of the Radisson Cross Keys Greyhound Challenge. The team will remain on the road in the New York metro area the following two weekends for tournaments at St. John’s (Sept. 12-13) and Seton Hall (Sept. 19-20).

The home portion of the schedule will begin on Sept. 23 with a Tuesday night affair against Bryant. The meeting with the Bulldogs is also the start of a four-game homestand that includes subsequent games against Ivy foes Harvard (Sept. 27), Brown (Oct. 3) and Yale (Oct. 4).

In all, eight games will be played in the familiar confines of Leede Arena in 2014 as Princeton (Oct. 17), Penn (Oct. 18), Cornell (Nov. 14) and Columbia (Nov. 15) all make the trip to the Upper Valley. The contest with the Lions also serves as the regular-season finale.

Seven true road games also appear on the Green’s fall slate. Columbia (Oct. 10), Cornell (Oct. 11) are sandwiched between two home weekends in the second month of the season and are the team’s first Ancient Eight tests away from Hanover in 2014.

A stand alone game at Harvard (Oct. 24) falls on a Friday night and is the lone contest of that week. The trip to Cambridge is also a short precursor to the four-straight road games that follow in the ensuing weekends. Those four tilts are at Yale (Oct. 31), Brown (Nov. 1), Penn (Nov. 7) and Princeton (Nov. 8).
