PRINCETON, N.J. – The Dartmouth women’s track & field team continued its weekend at Princeton’s Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Cha'Mia Rothwell was the top qualifier in the 100m hurdles, but finished second in the final with a 14.02, despite improving on her time by seven-hundredths of a second.
Rothwell was also the runner up in the long jump as her 5.63m on her second attempt of the afternoon was good for the second-best mark of the day. Folasade Akinfe was sixth with a 5.50m. Akinfe was second in the triple jump as well with an 11.69 on her sixth and final attempt of the day.
A second-place finish also went to freshman Julia Valenti in the pole vault as she cleared 3.85m on her first try before stalling at the next height.
Nicole Deblasio was fifth in the 100m, crossing in 12.25. Additionally, Deblasio was fourth in the 200m with a 25.15 to her credit.
Maria Garman was fourth in the high jump as she cleared 1.60m on her second try at the height.
The meet was non-scoring.
