CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In preparation for the upcoming 2013 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship meet next weekend, several members of the Dartmouth women's indoor track & field made the trip to Harvard's Gordon Track for Sunday's 2013 USATF New England Indoor Championships.

The highlight of the day for the Big Green was the 800 meters that saw the top three spots all go to Dartmouth student-athletes. Freshman Elizabeth Markowitz just beat out teammate senior Caroline Buck to take the top spot. Markowitz ran a 2:11.82, while Buck posted a time of 2:11.84.

The final member of the group to finish in the top three was junior Megan Krumpoch in 2:14.84.

In the 200m, freshman Jenifer Meech was second in 25.24, while classmate Toni Aguiar claimed fourth in 26.27.

The women's triple jump saw senior Cara Vernacchia take third with a measured distance of 37-1.25/11.31m. Stephanie Brown earned fourth place in the pole vault, clearing 9-10.0/3.0m.

The 2013 Heps at Harvard gets started Saturday, Feb. 23 and runs through Sunday afternoon.
