From the rookies to the veterans, Big Green athletes are making an impact on their teams. Freshman Mollie Gribbin, running in her first indoor meet at Dartmouth set the school record, running 7.76 in the 60 meter dash. Senior Nejc Zupan set a pool record in the 200 breaststroke leading the Big Green with three individual titles and a relay title against Penn and Yale.

Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Nejc Zupan, (Kamnik, Slovenia) Sr., Men's Swimming

Nejc Zupan picked up three individual titles and a relay titles in Dartmouth's Ivy League dual meet against  Penn and Yale. He set a new pool record in the 200 breststroke with his time of 2:00.12 and also won the 100 breaststroke (56.15) and the 200 IM (1:51.07). Zupan's events helped the Big Green men claim a road victory over Penn, the first since the 1990-91 season and the first road win since the 1989-90 season. Zupan, who earned an NCAA A cut at the Brown Invitational in Dec., will represent Dartmouth at the NCAA Championships in March.

Mollie Gribbin, (South Burlington, Vt.) Fr., Sprints, Track and Field

Making her home debut for the Big Green, Gribbin had a stellar first meet at the 2013 Dartmouth Relays Sunday afternoon. She started by breaking the program record in the 60 meters with a 7.79 in the prelims, only to re-break that mark an hour later by winning the finals of the event in 7.76. Gribbin also took second in the long jump with a measured distance of 17-6.0/5.33m. It wasn't done for the first-year student-athlete after just two events. Gribbin also ran the anchor of the 4x200-meter relay that claimed the top spot in 1:44.70. In all, Gribbin helped contribute a combined 28 points to Dartmouth's team score.
