NEW ORLEANS – It was announced Wednesday afternoon that the Dartmouth women’s track & field team was one of the programs from across the country to be recognized by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with All-Academic Team honors.

One of 187 programs from across Division I, to earn the distinction, the Big Green posted a cumulative 3.41 grade point average this past year. In order to be considered for All-Academic Team status, the group must post at least a 3.00 cumulative mark over the course of the season.

Dartmouth’s 3.41 put the Green and White just outside the top-10 nationally and second only to Yale (3.54) amongst Ivy League institutions.

In addition to the team award, soon-to-be senior Abbey D'Agostino was honored as the Division I Scholar Athlete of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons, the third and fourth national academic honors of her career.

Sarah Delozier was also honored with a spot as she posted a 3.52 GPA this year.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
