HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth junior Abbey D'Agostino has been named a first-team 2013 Academic All-District for Women’s Track  & Field and Cross Country by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

D’Agostino was named to the Division 1 (Conn., Mass., Maine, N.H., Vt., R.I., N.Y.) First Team for her cumulative 3.67 grade-point average while majoring in psychology. The Topsfield, Mass., native is one of 12 student-athletes from the region to earn the honor as voted on by the area’s sports information directors.

A three-time national champion over the course of the last 12 months (two indoor, one outdoor), D’Agostino has a chance to repeat in the outdoor 5000m when she steps on the track next Friday night in the finals of the event at the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore.

In February, D’Agostino was named the 2012 Division I Cross Country Female Scholar Athlete of the Year by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for her accomplishments in the classroom in addition to competition.

First-team selections for all divisions will be on the ballot and are eligible for All-America honors when the teams are announced in June.
