PRINCETON, N.J. – Sara Kikut led the Dartmouth women’s track & field team Saturday afternoon at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational held inside Weaver Track & Field Stadium.

Kikut broke the Big Green program record in the 200m with a 24.51 to claim fifth place. The previous mark of 24.77 was set more than 25 years ago by Elizabeth Cuervo ’88.

Another record nearly fell at the feet of Kikut as she ran a 12.16 in the 100m. The time earned her a sixth-place finish and was just sixth-hundredths of a second back of another Cuervo mark (12.10) set in April 1988.

Janae Dunchack ran a 14.51 in the 100m hurdles to earn another sixth-place showing. Her time also established another new Dartmouth record, eclipsing the old mark of 14.57 set by Sarah Kenney ’00 in May 1999.

Other strong showings came from Katie Sullivan in the 3000m steeplechase with a 10:38.01 to take sixth, while Caroline Buck was 14th in the elite section of the 800m as she ran a 2:10.78.

Members of the team will split time next weekend between the Penn Relays in Philadelphia and at the UMass Invitational in Amherst.
