HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Dartmouth women’s outdoor track & field team wrapped up its week in North Carolina with the High Point VertKlasse Meeting Saturday at Dick Vert Stadium.

The meet was non-scoring.

Megan Krumpoch was the dominant force on this day for the Big Green, winning the 200m in the participation section and taking third in the 400-meter hurdles of the performance section. She won the 200m in 25.47, while claiming third in the 400mH with a 1:00.92, both personal-best times for the junior.

Krumpoch was the leader of a solid group of Dartmouth runners in that 200m field as three teammates claimed spots in the top-10. Freshmen Mollie Gribbin (4th, 26.24) and Toni Aguiar (9th, 26.77) as well as junior Janae Dunchack (6th, 26.60) all claimed spots in the event’s first 10 positions.

The Green also dominated the women’s 3000m steeplechase as sophomore Sarah Delozier (10:47.23) and senior Katie Sullivan (10:50.32) claimed the top two spots in the field, respectively.

Freshman Elizabeth Markowitz finished third in the 1500m, running a 4:39.18, while Aguiar was also third in the 100m, running a 12.83.

In the 400mH in the participation section, sophomore Lauren Ready was third overall in 1:06.55.

The 4x400m relay team was fourth in the performance section as senior Caroline Buck, Markowitz, Ready and Krumpoch combined to post a 3:52.09.

The long jump saw Gribbin also take home a second-place showing with a distance of 18-5.0/5.61m.

Emmaline Berg was fourth in the shot put with her best throw measuring 42-7.25/13.29m. The senior also claimed second in the discus (an event held on Friday night) as she threw a 142-1.0/43.31m.

The Big Green will host Vermont and UMass-Lowell next Saturday, March 30 in Hanover starting at 11 a.m. A select group will also head to Austin this week for the 2013 Texas Relays.
