CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The 49er Classic at UNC-Charlotte's Irwin Belk Track concluded Saturday afternoon with several members of the Dartmouth women's outdoor track & field team competing in the season debut.

In the finals of the 400m, junior Megan Krumpoch claimed third in 55.41, while freshman Jennifer Meech was fourth in 56.51. For Meech, it was a slight improvement on her 56.60 posted in Friday's preliminaries.

The Big Green's 4x100-meter relay team ran a 48.71, taking third in their heat and seventh overall. Comprising the group were junior Janae Dunchack, sophomore Lauren Ready and freshmen Mollie Gribbin and Molly Shapiro.

Gribbin's best performance of the day came in the triple jump as the first-year member of the Green took the top spot in her flight and seventh overall in the event. The rookie jumped 38-6.25/11.74m on her second attempt.

Already the owner of the Heps individual indoor title in the high jump, freshman Kaitlin Whitehorn represented Dartmouth in the event for the first time outdoors Saturday. She did not disappoint as she finished third overall, clearing a height of 5-5.0/1.65m.

Janae Dunchack also competed in the javelin, claiming 19th with a 105-9.0/32.24m on her third and final attempt of the day.
