HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women’s tennis concluded the Big Green Invitational by playing singles against UMass, winning all but one of its eight matches.
Sophomore Racquel Lyn took down Ruth Crawford, 6-3, 7-6(6), while freshman Maddie Hwang and junior Chuyang Guan had very close matches. Hwang defeated Janja Kovacevic, 7-5, 4-6, (10-5), while Guan had a 4-6, 6-4, (10-8) victory over Laura Moreno.
The four remaining matches all went to two sets and were relatively easily won by the Big Green. Sophomore Allison McCann had a 6-3, 6-2 win over Martina Bocchi, and freshman Jasmine Abidi faced Jovana Bogicevic and had a 6-1, 6-4 victory. Junior Allison Chuang defeated Ashley Avery, 6-3, 6-4, while senior Shannon Mukerji added a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Meghan Bernard.
With the fall portion of the season done, the Big Green will take a break before beginning dual matches in January.
