NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Dartmouth women’s tennis team lost their fourth straight match on Saturday afternoon, falling, 7-0, to Columbia in Ivy League play at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.

The Big Green (7-6, 0-2) dropped their second straight Ivy League match, while the Lions (10-4, 3-0) remained perfect at home in 2013.

In doubles action, Columbia scored the point by taking matches at No. 2 and No. 3. Akiko Okuda and Katherine Yau were trailing Bianca Sanon  and Kanika Vaidya, 6-5, when the Lions locked up the point.

In singles action, Columbia took five of the six matches in straight sets. Sarah Bessen was the lone member of the Big Green to force a third set. The Las Vegas, Nev., native took the first set, 6-1, at No. 4 against Crystal Leung before dropping the second set and third set tiebreaker.

The Big Green return to action on April 13 and 14 when they welcome Penn and Princeton for Ivy League action inside the Boss Tennis Center and Gordon Pavilion.
