PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team lost at 52nd-ranked Brown on Friday, 5-2. Freshman Theresa Smith (University Park, Fla.) and sophomore Rachel Decker-Sadowski (Santa Barbara, Calif.) earned the two Big Green victories. Dartmouth dropped to 8-11 overall and 2-3 in the Ivy League. The Bears improved to 17-6 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Brown took an early advantage by winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead in the team match. In the singles portion, the Big Green only took two of the five matches. Smith defeated Sarah Kandath in the fifth spot, 6-2, 6-2, and Decker-Sadowski bested Nikita Uberoi at sixth singles, 6-1, 6-1.

Dartmouth returns home on Sunday, April 22, when its hosts Yale at 12 p.m.
