Freshman (2012-13): Yau made a huge splash during her first year on campus earning second team All-Ivy honors in singles... Yau ended the spring reason ranked No. 10 in the Northeast region in singles and No. 9 in the region in doubles... Won went 4-3 in singles action in conference play, competing primarily at No. 1... Netted six doubles wins in the dual match season competing at No. 1.

Before Dartmouth: Yau has been ranked as high as No. 1 in the USTA/Eastern section and won five sectional singles tournaments in recent years, as well as a National Open title. She has also been recognized for her sportsmanship by USTA/Eastern and by the National Open tournament in El Paso, Texas. As a junior player, she played many doubles tournaments with Akiko Okuda '15. Yau trains at Robbie Wagner's Tournament Training and is coached by Viktor Marinkovic.
