HANOVER, N.H. — The Ivy League has scheduled the playoff game between Dartmouth and Yale for Sunday, May 4 at noon at Dartmouth’s Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park to decide the Rolfe Division champion. The winner of the game will advance to the Ivy Championship Series the following weekend at either Columbia or Penn, depending on which team wins their playoff to decide the Gehrig Division champion.
This is the first time in the 22 seasons of divisional play of Ivy League baseball that both divisions require a playoff to determine the respective champions. A divisional playoff has occurred just five times previously with Dartmouth participating once, beating Brown in 2001. Yale has never played in a divisional playoff game and has not won the Rolfe Division in 19 years. The Big Green are aiming for their seventh straight division title.
The game will be streamed live via Big Green Insider on the Ivy League Digital Network. For information on how to subscribe to the network, click Big Green Insider under the Audio/Video tab at the top of this page.
