Keller All-New England Again
An All-Ivy League Second Team selection this season and an All-New England First Team pick a year ago, Keller wrapped up his Big Green career by ranking fifth in the conference with a .308 average, tied for third with 29 runs and leading the league with 15 doubles. He also smacked a pair of homers and drove in 17 runs while leading the team in batting, runs scored, hits (45), on-base percentage (.381) and stolen bases (11). In his four seasons at Dartmouth, Keller posted a .339 average, .419 on-base percentage, .566 slugging percentage, school-record 53 doubles, 15 home runs, 107 runs scored, 104 RBIs and 22 stolen bases in 28 attempts.
The only other Ivy League player chosen for one of the three Division I teams was Harvard’s Carlton Bailey as a utility player on the third team. Bryant University had both the Coach of the Year in Steve Owens and Rookie of the Year in Matt Albanese. Bobby Melley of the University of Connecticut was pegged as the Player of the Year, and Sean Newcomb of the University of Hartford claimed the Pitcher of the Year.
