HANOVER, N.H. - Following an impressive sophomore season that included an NCAA National Championship, Abbey D'Agostino (Topsfield, Mass.) competed for a spot on the US Olympic Team at the Trials in Eugene, Ore., in late June.

Despite missing out on making the team by two-tenths of a second, D'Agostino ran a PR of 15:19.98 to just eclipse the Olympic 'A' Standard in the finals of the 5,000 meters. Earlier in the week, she ran a 15:41.14 in the semis to earn top-qualifying honors headed into the final race.
