TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Sophomore Abbey D'Agostino (Topsfield, Mass.) of the Dartmouth women's cross country team was second in a field of more than 300 runners at Sunday's Pre-National Invitational hosted by Indiana State. D'Agostino's second-place finish in 20:23 helped the Big Green to a seventh-place finish with 273 team points.

The Big Green's seventh-place showing came in a field of 37 of the top teams from across the nation on a course that will also serve as the site for the NCAA Championship meet next month.

Senior Alexi Pappas (Alameda, Calif.) was the second Dartmouth harrier to finish the 6K LeVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. Pappas ran a 21:42 to finish 37th overall.

Sophomore Hannah Rowe (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) earned her team 72 points with a 75th-place finish in 22:13. Fellow sophomore Caitie Meyer (Weston, Mass.) was the fourth Dartmouth runner to finish Sunday, placing 78th in 22:18, while junior Katie Sullivan (Carmel, N.Y.) was the final member of the team to earn points as she finished 92nd in 22:27.

The final two Dartmouth runners Sunday morning were sophomore Katelyn Walker (Shaker Heights, Ohio) in 158th (23:19) and senior Elizabeth Short (North Reading, Mass.) in 255th (24:31).

The average time of finish for the Big Green was 21:49.

Dartmouth will compete next on Sunday, Oct. 23 in Boston as it takes part in the Mayor's Cup in the final event leading up to the Ivy Heptagonal Championship the following Friday, Oct. 28.
