EAST GREENWICH, R.I. - On the strength of junior Katelyn Walker's second-place showing, the Dartmouth women's cross country team finished second at Friday's Rothenberg Invitational hosted by Brown.

Walker ran an 18:33.4 on the wet 5K course in Goddard State Park to earn two points for her team.

But, it wasn't just Walker that ran well for the Big Green on this day. In all, five members of the Green and White earned spots in the top 10 as the team finished the afternoon with 32 points.

Sophomore Claudia Pham was fourth, crossing the line just back of Walker in 18:34.4.

After about a dozen seconds, freshman Reid Watson made her way across the finish with the official time of 18:46.5. Soon thereafter it was junior Arianna Vailas (18:50.1, 9th) and sophomore Meggie Donovan (18:50.7, 10th) battling for final positioning in the final few meters of the race.

Boson College narrowly edged Dartmouth with 23 points to earn the win. Brown was third with 87 points as its top runner was 13th overall, three spots back of the Big Green's final scorer.
