PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three unanswered goals by the Dartmouth men’s soccer team led to a 3-1 victory over Brown on Saturday afternoon.

The Big Green wasted no time taking the early lead, as senior Gabe Hoffman-Johnson scored just 51 seconds into regulation off a rebound from classmate Alberto Gorini. Dartmouth added its second tally of the night in the final 27 seconds of the half, as senior Colin Skelly found junior Colin Heffron.

Although the Big Green had a 2-0 lead after 45 minutes, Brown had a 9-6 edge in shots and a 6-1 lead in corner kicks.

In the second half, junior Alex Adelabu gave the visitors a three-goal led before Brown added a goal to deflate the Big Green shut out.  Holding a 2-0 lead in the 58th minute, Adelabu drove through the Brown defense en route to a one-on-one with the keeper for his fifth marker of the season.

Voltaire Escalona broke the clean sheet with less than 10 minutes remaining in the contest as his shot from the top left box went into the back right corner of the net.

Brown finished with a 16-11 edge in shots and an 8-1 lead in corner kicks.  Freshman keeper James Hickok made six saves in the contest and Josh Weiner made three in the defeat.

The Big Green concludes the season with a 6-7-4 overall record and 1-6 in the Ivy League.
