HANOVER, N.H.– The Dartmouth men’s soccer team will add eight new faces for the Class of 2017. The Big Green will welcome Ricardo Gomez (Miami, Fla.), James Hickok (Westport, Conn.), Nick Ford (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Devin Pierre (White Plains, N.Y.), Brendan Barth (Hanover, N.H.), Jett Orstanglio (Boston, Mass.), Alexander Marsh (Plantation, Fla.) and Emmanuel Arteaga (Escondido, Calif.) to the program next fall.

"The staff and I are very pleased with this incoming class,” said head coach Chad Riley. “They will certainly help us address some needs, as well as increasing the level of competition within the squad.  We couldn't be happier with the way the class came together and certainly can't wait to get these players on campus and get to work! On top of being excellent students and soccer players, most importantly, they are good people who will represent Dartmouth and its values well.  They have all done a great job in getting here, and this is just the beginning. Now their challenge is to fulfill their potential in all aspects of their time at Dartmouth.  Getting here is just the start."

Four-year varsity letterwinner and three-year captain at Staples … Two-time captain … Led his team to the 2009 State Championship … Two-time FCIAC champions … Has earned numerous awards throughout his prep career … Two-time Connecticut Post All-Star … Two-time All-State and All-Area and All-FCIAC selection … Earned 2012 All-New England and Scholar New England honors … 2012 NSCAA High School Scholar All-America … Competed in the US Market Soccer Training at Gillette Stadium. 

"James is an outstanding goalkeeper who I have watched for some time.  He reads the game very well and controls his area excellently.  James, Jett, and Stefan make up a great group of goalkeepers. I know they will push each other strongly and will all become better for it."

Nick Ford

"Brendan is our local Hanover player.  I have seen Brendan play up close for a while now, and he is another player in this class who has a great soccer IQ.  He has great technique and a tremendous understanding of the game.  We are happy to keep him in Hanover and have another local player on the team to join Eric Jayne."

Jett Oristaglio
