PRINCETON, N.J.- Dartmouth men's soccer player Alex Adelabu (Houston, Texas) was named Ivy League men's soccer Player of the Week after his three-goal performance at the TL Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Lobo Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. last weekend.

Adelabu becomes the first Big Green player to earn Player of the Week accolades this season and is the first since teammate Noah Cohen (Johannesburg, South Africa) earned the award on Oct. 31 last season.

Adelabu, currently on a four-game scoring streak, was Dartmouth's offense last weekend recording each of Dartmouth's three goals, including two against No. 7 New Mexico on Friday (Sept. 14) He also tallied the game-winning goal in the Big Green's 1-0 double overtime win against Missouri State on Sunday (Sept. 16), snapping the Bears seven-game unbeaten streak. For his efforts he was named to the All-Tournament squad.

The Big Green sophomore has found his offensive touch during his sophomore campaign. He currently leads the team in points with 11 on a team-best five goals and one assist.  His four points against New Mexico is a Big Green individual high this fall.  This season he has tallied four multiple-point games, the most by a Dartmouth player.

Dartmouth continues its five-game road swing when it travels to Amherst, Mass., to take on UMass on Saturday (Sept. 22). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
