Men's Soccer Welcomes Group of Six in Class of 2016
HANOVER, N.H.- On the heels of its ninth Ivy League Championship and its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, the Dartmouth men's soccer team will reload by welcoming six freshmen to the Class of 2016. The Big Green will add Stefan Cleveland (Dayton, Ohio), Sam Rosen (Branford, Conn.), Alberto Gorini (Incisa Valdarno, Italy), Emory Orr (Charlotte, N.C.), Sten Stray-Gundersen (Frisco, Texas) and Elijah Soko (Harare, Zimbabwe) to the program next fall.
"The Class of 2016 is a terrific group of student-athletes that will help us address some of the needs our program has as we strive to build on our tradition of success both on and off the field," said head coach Jeff Cook. "Over the last two seasons, we have graduated 17 players from our program. I feel that there is a lot of quality in this recruiting class that will help us address some of the departures we have had, and that they will fit in very well with our current squad as we face a very challenging schedule in 2012. We have our usual blend of top U.S. talent and players from overseas who will bring their unique background and experiences to Dartmouth. I look forward to their contributions to Dartmouth men's soccer."
