PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dartmouth women’s squash team topped Brown, 6-3, on Friday night at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

The Big Green (4-6, 2-4) won versus the Bears (10-6, 0-6) in the Ocean State for the third straight time.

Dartmouth produced solid performances throughout its lineup, starting with Jacqueline Barnes at the No. 1 spot. Barnes was trailing, 2-1, and down 10-7 in the fourth game, but rallied to score five straight points and force a decisive fifth game. In the fifth game she kept the momentum rolling and won 11-6.

Nina Scott earned a 3-0 sweep of her opponent at the No. 3 position to clinch the match for Dartmouth.

Melina Turk and Lydie McKenzie each scored shutout wins for the Big Green, while Helena Darling and Tori Dewey earned the other points for Dartmouth.

The Big Green women return to action on Sunday, Feb. 9, hosting Yale in their final home match of the season.
