HANOVER, N.H. - The No. 8 Dartmouth women's squash team snapped a two match losing streak, downing No. 12 Columbia, 8-1, in Ivy League play on Sunday at the Berry Center Squash Courts.

The Big Green improved to 5-6 on the season, while the Lions fall to 3-8, suffering their fourth straight road loss.

The Green and White cruised to victory, taking six matches in three games.

Corey Schafer, Nina Scott, Sarah Loucks, Tori Dewey, Lydie McKenzie and Helena Darling all won without dropping a game.

Loucks and Dewey have now each won three straight matches for Dartmouth.

Melina Turk scored a point for the Big Green topping Reyna Pacheco, 3-1, at the No. 2 spot. After dropping the first game, Turk rallied to score the come-from-behind victory.

Kensy Balch earned the other point for Dartmouth defeating Monica Stone, 3-2, at the No. 6 spot. Balch raced out to a 2-0 lead before losing the third and fourth games. Balch bounced back taking the fifth game 11-5.

The Big Green return to action on Feb. 6, when they take on visiting Williams. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
