Moore joins the Big Green coaching staff as an assistant alongside Jessica Drummond after spending the last four years building Stetson’s program from the ground up from 2011 to this past spring. Prior to her four years in Deland creating the Hatters’ Division I program, Moore worked as an assistant coach with Vermont (2011), Temple (2007-10) and Canisius (2004-06).
"Joining the Dartmouth Lacrosse staff was an easy decision and one that I am excited about,” Moore said. “This program strives for excellence in every aspect and I am honored to work alongside such an accomplished and respected head coach inand a determined, driven coach in Jess Drummond.
“Dartmouth Lacrosse attracts the brightest and most talented recruits in the nation and I cannot wait to help guide them through their time here at Dartmouth. I am grateful to both Amy and the administration for the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Dartmouth Athletics family," Moore continued.
In coming to Hanover, it will be a homecoming of sorts for Moore, who played for the University of New Hampshire from 1999-2002. As a member of the Wildcats, she was named to the 2002 IWLCA North Regional All-America Second Team as well as a first-team all-conference player, while earning all-tournament honors in her final two seasons.
“I am excited to have Nicole join the Big Green women’s lacrosse family this year,” Patton said. “She brings a wide range of experience as both an assistant and head coach to Dartmouth that will benefit this program in a positive manner. Nicole’s enthusiasm and passion is only matched by her dedication to constantly strive to make the individuals she works with better every day.
“Her positive attitude, competitive nature and more than a decade of experience will help us on the field and in recruiting as she takes on the responsibility of being our head recruiting coordinator. On the field, her defensive expertise will continue to both push our players and elevate our program. Jess and I are thrilled to have someone of Nicole’s caliber on staff and we are looking forward to working with her this year,” Patton added.
Additionally, Moore has spent time in England working at the Casterton School as the head coach and director of lacrosse right after graduating from UNH, spending 2002-04 at the boarding school.
Moore earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from UNH in 2002 with master’s degrees in kinesiology from Temple in 2010 and physical education from Canisius in 2006.
Moore is taking over for the departing Christine Anneberg who has been with the team in several capacities for nearly a decade.
