2016 (Junior): Appeared in all 15 games and started 9 during her third season in Hanover... Scored 13 goals and had 9 assists... Set her career-high of 3 goals in one game during the season opener vs. UMass Lowell... Scooped 4 ground balls, won 9 draw controls, and caused 5 turnovers.
2015 (Sophomore): Played in seven games, making five starts…Scored five times and added two assists for seven points…Netted the game-winning goal with one second left in overtime at Columbia on April 25, collecting a rebound and depositing it into the back of the net for the winner…Finished the season with one ground ball, two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
2014 (Freshman): Appeared in 12 games, making seven starts…Was sixth on the team in scoring with 10 points on four goals and six assists…Dished out two assists in the season-opening win at UNH on March 22 in her first collegiate game…Scored her first two collegiate goals in Dartmouth’s 9-7 win at home against BU on March 5…Also had two assists at Cornell (April 5) and against Hofstra (April 14) at home…Notched tallies at Brown (March 29) and home against Penn (April 12)…Attempted 11 shots with 10 finding their way on goal for a .909 shots on goal percentage.
Before Dartmouth: Weisse comes to Hanover from Westfield High School in New Jersey where she was a two-time lacrosse team captain. An up-and-coming young player, she was recognized as a member of several rising player watch lists as she joins the Big Green. A dominant player since her freshman year at Westfield, she led her team in points and assists as a rookie in 2010. Weisse would continue that trend and re-write many of the program’s scoring records in her four years, including the new standard for assists in a game, season and career. On multiple occasions, she was honored with her team’s Most Outstanding Offensive Player honor.
What drew you to the Dartmouth Lacrosse Program?
What drew me into the Dartmouth Lacrosse Program was the coaching staff and the culture of the program. It was infectious and I wanted to be a part of such a positive and motivating atmosphere.
As a little kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a professional soccer player and a doctor.
Do you have a pre-game ritual you have to do?
I have to eat Chinese food the night before games, I don’t know why but I developed this during my recruiting summer and it stuck.
