Whit Hagerman joined the Dartmouth women's lacrosse coaching staff in the summer of 2012 and will begin her first season along the Big Green sidelines in the spring of 2013.
Hagerman is a former member of the University of Virginia women's lacrosse team, suiting up for the Cavaliers from 2005 to 2010. Most recently, she has served as the assistant varsity coach for both the lacrosse and field hockey teams at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn.
A team captain during her senior season at Virginia, Hagerman was a four-year member of the Student-Athlete Council, a board that consisted of just 10 individuals elected by peers and coaches based on leadership, communication and positive decision making both on and off the field of play.
During Hagerman's time with the team, the Hoos won three consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference titles (2006-2008) and finished as the National Finalist once (2007).
In just two short years, the former Cavaliers captain and ACC Academic Honor Roll player has gained valuable coaching experiences throughout the Northeast. Hagerman has served in a coaching capacity with Team Rev Club, Nor'Easter Club and Andover High School where she helped the team reach the Massachusetts State Finals in 2011 in addition to her role at Choate this past spring.
She has also worked at camps held at UVA, Yale, Babson and Dartmouth as well as high schools and prep schools across New England. This summer, Hagerman will also take on the coaching responsibilities of the Under Armour All-American New England team.
A native of North Andover, Mass., Hagerman earned a B.A.S. in Psychology in 2009 and Master's Degree in Education in 2010, both from UVA.
Her sister, Casey '92, played hockey with the women's team at Dartmouth for four seasons.
