Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Kristen Rumley, Jr., Katy, Texas, P/1B, Softball

Dartmouth junior Kristen Rumley helped the Dartmouth softball team capture its first ivy Championship this past weekend, defeating Penn in a three game series at the Dartmouth Softball Park. Rumley was credited with both wins and allowed four runs over 14.1 innings. She finished with a 1.95 ERA and fanned 14 batters. Offensively, Rumley was tied for the team lead with four hits in nine at bats and drove home the winning run in the sixth inning of the decisive game on Sunday.

Mike Olentine Sr.  Princeton, N.J.,  A, Men's Lacrosse

In his final collegiate game, Olentine broke the Dartmouth single-game record with 10 goals against Holy Cross at home on April 29. The senior netted five in the first half and five again in the second half with the record-tying and record-setting goals coming just seven seconds apart. Olentine became just the fifth player in Ivy League history to reach double-digits in goals in a game as he helped lift the Big Green to a 17-12 win to wrap up the 2014 season. Coming into the game, he led the team in goals this season with 11, one more than he was able to score that afternoon. His 11 points in the game were also just two shy of the conference mark held by Dartmouth’s John Waters (2G/11A) vs. Penn in 1962.
